Alternate Side Parking suspended for Independence Day. Parking meters will not be in effect. Stopping, standing and parking are permitted, except in areas where stopping, standing and parking rules are in effect seven days a week(for example, “No Standing Anytime”).

Coney Island’s 4th of July Celebration! @ Coney Island

From sunrise to sunset, Coney Island is the place to be on the 4th of July as we celebrate all day long. Deno’s Wonder Wheel Amusement Park, Luna Park NYC, and the New York Aquarium are open all day!

10:00am- Nathan’s Famous Hot Dog Eating Contest Begins

Watch as competitors go hot dog to hot dog to be crowned Nathan’s 2019 Hot Dog Eating champion! The competition will be taking place on the corner of Stillwell and Surf Avenue.

6:00pm- Brooklyn Cyclones take on the Aberdeen IronBirds! Visit Coneyislandfunguide.com to purchase tickets and view 4th of July deals!

9:50pm- The Steeplechase Spectacular Fireworks show
Due to the expected volume of people, we encourage taking public transportation (D, F, N, Q trains) to Stillwell Ave for an easier commute. See you there!

Travis 4th of July Parade

Fourth at the Fort – Fort Tompkins

Join us for tours of Fort Tompkins, games for kids, and a great view of the
harbor and NYC skyline! Staten Island OutLOUD presents a group reading of the Declaration of Independence at 1 PM, then, at 2 PM we present an afternoon performance by the Staten
Island Philharmonic celebrating Independence Day. The selections will include all time American favorites, including tributes to our armed services and a patriotic sing-along. The program is presented at the Overlook. Bring a lawn chair, a hat and some sunscreen. Some
seating is provided
