Upcoming Events at the Tibetan Museum

LECTURE WITH JACKIE HAWKEN – Please join us as we welcome Jackie Hawken to speak with us on “How Meditation and Mindfulness Can Help To Cope with Troublesome Emotions.” Stress, worry, and anxiety are all part of our daily lives and Ms. Hawken will speak to how meditation techniques can help alleviate these emotions. Sunday, June 2, 2 PM – 3 PM. This Program is Free with Regular Museum Admission of $6 Adults/ $4 Students and Seniors.

SPECIAL YOGA CLASSES WITH MELISSA RUIZ – Melissa Ruiz is inspired by health and wellness. She grew up playing sports and was formerly a WNBA cheerleader. She studied yoga under the guidance of Marina De Lima and Anayra Calderon, graduating from Yoga In the World RYS. Her training is Hatha, Ashtanga and Vinyasa based. Melissa is an athletic enthusiast so expect a powerful flow with lots of core work. Melissa is obsessed with her Shiba Inu named King and in her spare time is training for the NYC marathon. She is devoted to helping her students reach their highest potential and mission is to uplift and empower all beings around her.  Please bring your own mat, towel, and blocks.  Click for tickets for June 9July 14August 18September 15, & October 6.

Leslee Penny is a certified mindful practitioner and certified in Singing Bowl Healing therapy. She will transport you to a place of tranquility so your cells can renew in this bath of healing vibration, and you can learn about the traditions of Tibetan singing bowls.
