Historic Richmond Town opens its grounds to more than 40 local restaurants, wineries and breweries for a food and wine festival like no other! This year, Uncorked! will focus on representing the diversity of blends and tastes this island has to offer! You don’t want to miss it!

Join more than 40 fun and fabulous restaurants and chefs gather at Historic Richmond Town on Saturday June 8th to show off their culinary expertise for the Uncorked! Wine, Food & Fun Festival!

Are you a restaurant?
Participation in Uncorked! is free to restaurants as long as small samples of your food is provided. Call (718)-351-1611 x266 or email mperez@historicrichmondtown.org to get involved!

Solar Observing: High Line
Jun 11 @ 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm
Solar Observing: High Line

The AAA hosts solar observing on the High Line one Tuesday afternoon each month from April through August. We also have nighttime observing on the High Line later that same day.

Observing will take place near the 14th Street entrance or just south of the Standard Hotel, which crosses over the High Line near 13th Street. For more information about the High Line, including directions, please visit our High Line page.

We have telescopes equipped with special filters for viewing the Sun. You may bring your own equipment, but we insist on strict safety provisions due to the dangers of improperly filtered direct solar viewing. All devices used for direct solar viewing must be fitted with approved filters.

Expert solar astronomer and AAA board member Tom Haeberle leads our Solar Observing. When you arrive, just look for Tom and his solar-filtered Telescope and enjoy.

Observing: Floyd Bennett Field

The AAA meets monthly on Friday nights for stargazing at Floyd Bennett Field in Gateway National Park, Brooklyn.  We meet every month except January and February, when it’s just too cold, and in July and August, when we have a problem with mosquitoes (in other warm months, come but bring a repellent).  Events are cancelled if it is overcast or if the temperature is below 32 degrees Fahrenheit.

For more information, visit the AAA Floyd Bennett Field Observing website.
