It’s not every day that you could feed grapes to a joey, see Galapagos tortoises roll around on skateboards, or pet a slow-moving sloth — until now.
Join New York Adventure Club on an exclusive, interactive experience at Staten Island Zoo as we get up close and personal with some of its most celebrated animals!
This special access experience, led by the zoo’s education department staff, will take us behind-the-scenes throughout several facilities, including:
Nursery & Educational Animal Wing – A special opportunity to see, pet, feed, and photograph animals, which could include a beaver, cavy, sloth, groundhog, kangaroo, and tamandua
Hospital – A walkthrough of the hospital facility to learn about the surgery, radiography, and darting equipment used to treat injured animals
Commissary – A rare look at the daily operations of diet preparation for the animals
No visit is ever the same.
*Exact itinerary and animal lineup are subject to change based on animal health and wellbeing
**This experience is limited to 15 attendees
