Join us on Sunday May 19th for the annual Commemoration of the Great Hunger on the grounds of the Marine Hospital Quarantine Cemetery, the final resting place for thousands of Irish immigrants who perished on the shores of Staten Island from 1846-1852 never realizing their dream of a new life in America
This year we welcome the addition of the BAND OF ROGUES who will perform a selection of Irish songs.
The event will start at 3 pm with an introduction and site history presented by; Bill Fahey and Lynn Rogers. The Band of Rogues will perform directly after.
Free event, open to the public, children friendly, ALL WELCOMED. The site is a 5 minute walk from the Staten Island Ferry. Plenty of FREE on street parking.
