DSNY Holiday Calendar- NYC Holiday Garbage Schedule 2019

Christmas Day and New Year’s Day no collections. See makeup schedules below:

Christmas Day

Residents who normally receive Wednesday trash and curbside composting collection should place their materials out at curbside after 4 p.m. on Wednesday, December 25 for collection beginning Thursday, December 26.

Residents normally receiving Wednesday recycling collection should place their material out at curbside after 4 p.m. on Wednesday, January 1 for collection Thursday, January 2.

New Year’s Day

Residents who normally receive Wednesday trash and curbside composting collection should place their materials out at curbside after 4 p.m. on Wednesday, January 1 for collection on beginning Thursday, January 2.

Residents normally receiving Wednesday recycling collection should place their material out at curbside after 4 p.m. on Wednesday, January 1 for collection Thursday, January 2.

2019 DSNY Holiday Calendar

DSNY Holiday Calendar- NYC Holiday Garbage Schedule 2019. DSNY residential trash and recycling collections are suspended on the following dates in 2019:

  • Monday, January 21, 2019 (Martin Luther King Jr. Day)
  • Monday, February 18, 2019 (President’ Day)
  • Monday, May 27, 2019 (Memorial Day)
  • Monday, September 2, 2019 (Labor Day)
  • Monday, October 14, 2019 (Columbus Day/Indigenous Peoples’ Day)
  • Monday, November 11, 2019 (Veterans Day)
  • Wednesday, December 25, 2019 (Christmas Day)

Garbage and recycling should not be placed out for collection on days when DSNY residential collection is suspended.
